Sadly, we are unable to hold yoga classes again in Ngunguru Hall, renovations to the ceiling were delayed and are underway now. Covid is still lurking and winter is a good time to develop your own Sadhana / Home practice, you learn so much with enhanced awareness as you move from listening and watching to becoming aware of truely feeling your practice in your body and …you get to practice what you need! Enjoy the opportunity to reach to your Higher Self, to release and be with what is.
Hopefully Mindful Yoga in Ngunguru can resume in the Spring.
There are some new Tutukaka Classes offering Community connection, sharing your energy with others, Tutukaka Coast Yoga Connection…
Winter is characterised by the Kapha Dosha…
Traditional Chinese Medicine involves the Water Element during winter, associated with Kidney Yin, Bladder Yang and adrenal glands. Yoga stimulates and releases these channels, giving more balance. Your home sadhana gives an opportunity to keep warm and explore slower inward energy, nourishing Kidney Yin and enhancing the wisdom of winter and the water element.
The first two weeks of August are characterised by First Light and indeed you may be feeling this. It is the time to enjoy this emerging light and to embody it with vinyasa yoga flows, linking breath and movement in Mindful Yoga, creating warmth and a lightening of body and mind.
Right now, an emerging ‘snowy full moon’ gives an opportunity to practice Salute to the Moon.
Or, this one!
